PROTOTYPE OF TRANSLATION SYSTEM ARABIC TO INDONESIAN

(Case Study of  Al-Qur’an)

ABSTRACT

Cross-language information retrieval in the present moment is crucial to the amount of information available using a variety of languages. While current users on the mastery of other languages is very less. Hopefully with a cross-language translation system is expected.

Translation applications on this system to find the meaning contained in texts that had been entered via the arab appropriate keyboard. This system was built through several stages starting from the collection of data taken first Juz al-qur’an, enter data into the database, similarity search index for searching the meaning and changing forms of letters, and words tokenisation.

The ability of this system can add data, able to change the shape of the letter of the Arabic letter shapes to form the Latin alphabet, and be able to find the meaning of words or sentences from the text entered. Results of Al-quran verse translation can be displayed in its entirety. Development of this system can be be used as cross-language translation system is universal.
